Obtaining this type of residence permit in Ukraine is possible only with a type D-04 visa. To obtain a D visa, a foreign worker must personally submit an application for this visa at the Ukrainian embassy in their country of citizenship or permanent residence. The embassy reviews the visa application and makes a decision to grant or deny the visa within 5 days for expedited processing and within 10 days for standard processing from the moment the documents are received.
The required documents for obtaining a residence permit based on employment include:
- The original passport with a type D visa;
- A translated copy of the passport into Ukrainian with personal data and the D visa, certified;
- A valid health insurance policy;
- Documents confirming employment in Ukraine;
- A document confirming the payment of the state fee.
The documents are reviewed by the migration authorities within 15 days from the moment of submission, and based on the review, a decision is made to grant or deny the residence permit.
